🌌 Blacklight Dance — Event Recap – May 3, 2025, 7:30–9:00 PM

The Trixie Room at the Boulder Circus Center was transformed into a glowing landscape of color, creativity, and connection. On May 3, our community came together for a luminous night of movement and connection at the Boulder Circus Center. The space transformed under blacklights as participants painted themselves in glowing colors. The dance unfolded as a blend of guided and freeform movement, weaving together elements of organic dance, yoga-inspired flow, and conscious breathwork. Under the UV glow, participants explored release, presence, and creative expression—each person lighting up the room in their own way. The experience was energizing, liberating, and deeply grounding. We closed with a meditation, allowing the group to settle into calm awareness before transitioning back into the night. This event was a joyful collaboration rooted in creativity, embodiment, and community—a reminder of how powerful it is when people gather to move, breathe, and shine together.

Workshop: Touching Colors – A journey into tactile & inclusive art

Collaboration with artist Gregory Fields

This workshop shines with its innovative use of the tactile “Scripor-Alphabet,” an expanded version of Braille. The word ‘color’—transcending language, culture, or geography—becomes a universal symbol. Artists are encouraged to use color in ways that benefit the visually impaired community, transforming color into a tactile experience. This allows everyone to engage with and appreciate the vibrancy of colors through touch.

The project aims to teach the color wheel to the visually impaired community using tactile clay tiles. Participants will experiment with color on different materials. An evaluation phase will collect feedback to improve future workshops
